Probabilistic Workshop

The 3^rd Probabilistic Workshop of the Technical University Dresden is being held October 7 - 8, 2010. This year's focus is on probabilistic techniques in mechanical engineering. Venue of the two-day conference is the university's Institute of Fluid Mechanics.  

Serving as a platform for exchange and discussion, the third workshop again unites various professionals in probabilistic design. Presentations will be held both days by representatives from leading German software developers, consultancies and academic institutions.

FRIENDSHIP SYSTEMS' product manager Jörg Palluch will elaborate on the optimization of stream surfaces through conceptual coupling CAD, variation and simulation („Optimierung umströmter Flächen über konzeptionelle Kopplung von CAD, Variation und Simulation“) on October 7, 2010.

A number of use cases have proven the importance of probabilistic design in mechanical engineering. Assessment of robustness, analyses of reliability and optimization under consideration of components uncertainties gain momentum in the product development of machinery.
