Bestway licenses the FRIENDSHIP-Framework

Today, Shanghai-based maritime research and design company Bestway has licensed the FRIENDSHIP-Framework. Shanghai Bestway Marine Engineering Design Ltd. is one of the largest and strongest Chinese research and design enterprises for merchant ship and offshore engineering. The company will use the modeling and optimization functionality of the engineering platform FRIENDSHIP-Framework in combination with CFD suite SHIPFLOW to speed up and enhance its design work.

The contract was signed by Li Tongyu, Managing Director Assistant Bestway Marine Engineering Design Ltd., and Li Zilu,  Business Development Manager of Germanischer Lloyd in Shanghai.

Bestway will apply the newly licensed software and services to their design work, which includes dry and liquid cargo ships, offshore vessels and tugs. The introduction of simulation-driven design will strengthen Bestway's capabilities to quickly respond to customers' requests for highly efficient ships with very competitive designs.
