The Team
As per July 2009, user support for the FRIENDSHIP-Framework is provided from a local Shanghai office also. Germanischer Lloyd (GL), major shareholder of FRIENDSHIP SYSTEMS, newly employs a local expert who will support FRIENDSHIP SYSTEMS’ customers and users of the FRIENDSHIP-Framework in both China and the broader Asian market.
Mr. Li Zilu is well prepared for this task: He looks back at an education as naval architect and at work experience in various maritime fields and projects. Mr. Li will stay with FRIENDSHIP SYSTEMS at the company’s headquarters in Potsdam for about two months starting from mid-July. For the full benefit of our current and future customers in Asia, Mr. Li will qualify as a trainer for the FRIENDSHIP-Framework and will get insight into the latest developments of the leading software for hull form optimization. The team at FRIENDSHIP SYSTEMS is very looking forward to welcome Mr. Li!
Shanghai! The Chinese metropolis is at the very pulse of the vibrant Asian maritime market and therefore a good spot to establish local support. This will be, so we believe at FRIENDSHIP SYSTEMS, best addressed by a native Chinese who is fully familiar with the ship design business, the local market and the Chinese culture. Mr. Li’s employment consequently follows GL’s aim to strengthen its customers’ competitiveness and expertise and is regarded a further step to establish the FRIENDSHIP-Framework as the industrial standard for energy efficient ship design.
Shanghai is also going to be the venue of this year's Marintec, the big international maritime exhibition, seminar and event venue. It will be held at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre from December 1 to 4, 2009. FRIENDSHIP SYSTEMS prepares to attend the 2009 Marintec conjointly with GL on the GL booth. Further details will be presented with the next edition of "The Fr@meworker" and on the FRIENDSHIP SYSTEMS homepage.
