Training Course
Professional training and expert assistance pose an important pillar of FRIENDSHIP SYSTEMS' work. We thus provide training for the optimal utilization of the FRIENDSHIP-Framework which we tailor to your needs and demands. Training on FRIENDSHIP SYSTEMS' key software focuses on basic and advanced application—relating to your knowledge base and your specific work's requirements. We structure our training accordingly into the three main categories
- Design Principles and Basic Knowledge (DPBK)
- Hull Form Optimization (HFO)
- Parametric Design and Feature Modeling (PDFM)
The transition between these three focus areas is naturally smooth. Once you touch on design principles you will also come across parametric design and the broader topic of optimization. The courses built up on each other, i.e. HFO requires DPBK knowledge as the latter provides the skills for the former; likewise does the advanced PDFM course require skills in the set up of geometries and profound knowledge of CAD.
We perceive a basic training course indeed a good basis for starting off with the FRIENDSHIP-Framework. From there, you may begin to familiarize with the broader scope and spectrum of functionality the software system provides. For specific interest you may choose to attend the training course on parametric design principles and feature modeling techniques. Albeit pre-conditioned course schemes, you are very welcome to either address specific interests in a training. Or, you may opt for a customized training. Great a many of our customers have availed themselves of this option and benefitted well as, naturally, on-site training focuses very much on your individual interests and needs. It may thus better convey the specific in-depth knowledge you require for optimal work flow.
We plan to extend the scope of our training to Blade Modeling and Tool Integration; currently, we figure out how to set up these courses in content and time horizon.
In principal, the audience of our trainings changes with the topic yet will comprise users from both industry and academia dealing with naval architecture and turbomachinery, e.g. design engineers, (hydrodynamic) simulation experts, scientists from universities, graduate students ...
The next scheduled training course for the FRIENDSHIP-Framework to be held at our premises will take place from Monday, 7th September 2009, to Friday, 11th September 2009. It will start with the two-day introductory course DPBK and then focus on either HFO or PDFM. Further information will be provided in time on our website.
Please contact Mr. Jörg Palluch for detailed information and the set up of future trainings.
