Dipl.-Ing. Claus Abt

Claus Abt leads the business segment Products and Technologies within FRIENDSHIP SYSTEMS. He is a studied naval architect (graduate of Technical University Berlin (TU Berlin), Diplom-Ingenieur in 1998) with a specialization in Computer Aided Design and information technology. He is a C++ expert with twenty years experience in programming and in R&D of product modeling, naval architecture and ocean engineering.

Internationally, he has published on the parametric modeling of free-form surfaces and numerical hull form optimization.

Claus Abt is member of the Society of Naval Architects and Marine Engineers (USA).

Stefan Harries heads the business segment Management and Strategies. His work is backed by experiences as scientist, hydrodynamicist and researcher in the design and operation of marine systems. He has published extensively on the parametric modeling and optimization of ship hull forms.

Stefan Harries is a graduate of Naval Architecture at TU Berlin (Diplom-Ingenieur in 1992, PhD in 1998) and holds a BSc in Mechanical Engineering (Technical University Darmstadt, 1988) and a MSE of the University of Michigan (1990).

He is associated with the TU Berlin as lecturer for Computer Aided Design and member of both Schiffbautechnische Gesellschaft (STG, Germany) and the Society of Naval Architects and Marine Engineers (USA).
