Training Courses

Motivation

Owing to an increasing need for advanced training in the field of fluid dynamic design, we offer a number of training courses.

The training courses are based on the CAD-CFD integration platform FRIENDSHIP-Framework and cover modeling, simulation, optimization and integration. They are organized in groups of five to ten people and are held at our Potsdam office or on your site. Additional courses are given in China, Korea and Japan on a regular basis.

Professional training in CAE

The following FRIENDSHIP-Framework training courses are provided:

• Design Principles and Basic Knowledge introduces the main applications and guides through the basic concepts of the program (basic two-day course).

• Hull Form Optimization builds on the introductory course and enables naval architects to improve their skills in hull form design and optimization with respect to hydrodynamic criteria (advanced three-day course).

• Parametric Design and Feature Modeling focuses on the intelligent reduction of model complexity by means of parameterizations (advanced three-day course).

The training courses complement each other and can easily be combined. We take into account practical aspects from daily design work for your beneficial use.

In addition to the general courses, we regularly develop and undertake trainings tailored to your individual needs, with specific focus that is. Please approach us for personal assistance.

Participants

Participants come from industry and academia and are interested in the development of functional surfaces, for instance ship hull forms, propellers, rudders, and nozzles, turbine blades and pumps. They are design engineers and simulation experts, CAD specialists, CFD users, scientists from universities, also graduate students and young professionals who start their careers.

Dates and Topics

Training courses typically comprise two to several days depending on the product.
